Ready to be a big bro!

Landon is ready to be a big brother! He has been holding "his baby" a lot more lately and we have been reading a book on being a big brother! He calls it his "special book." He really loves babies and is CONSTANTLY going up to babies in public because he wants to see them! He will just sit down and smile at them! One day while we were out playing at Chick-fil-A, a mom came up to me while holding her baby just to tell me how sweet Landon was to her daughter! He just wanted to look at her and talk to her--instead of playing! I hope that his love of babies continues when one comes home to stay! : ) He is such a sweet boy!

The many moods of Landon!

These pictures were all taken within about 1 minute! Clearly, he had some mood changes going on this day! (Yes, that is a Christmas bib but this type of bib is his favorite as it is a "towel" as he calls it--he likes to smell them!)
A second later, the wind shifted and so did his mood!
It's magic! Now he had recovered from his mood and was back on track to having a good day!

Zoo Trip!

Last weekend, we went to the zoo as our family of 3! It was a great day for it and the zoo wasn't too busy!

Checking out the Zebras
Landon's favorite thing to do is to feed the birds

But, the birds were REALLY aggressive that day and Landon didn't like it at all!

He calmed down after a minute!

We ended the day with another of his favorites--a train ride!

Fishing...

Aaron recently took Landon to get his first "big boy" fishing pole. Really, it's his first fishing pole but lately he has been saying "big boy" in front of everything, ie. "big boy bike, big boy bed, big boy goff pub, etc." Anyway, they went fishing the other day(but didn't catch any fish):

Then, the boys went again tonight! This time, they went to a different pond with some friends and actually caught some fish! Landon, who we call "Mr. Fearless", did not let his nickname disappoint! (I apologize for the video...Aaron took this one himself and I guess didn't think about those who might get motion sick! : ) It is a cute video if you don't get vertigo!) Landon was a little disappointed that he didn't get to take his fake worm to bed with him last night but it was the FIRST thing he asked for this morning! I went to get him and said "Good morning, sweetheart!" He looked at me and replied "Where my worm go, mommy?"

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

I took Landon to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History yesterday and we had a great time! The hardest part of the day was trying to get him to leave!

I could have done without seeing the Albino Corn Snake but Landon loved it!
He spent a lot of time exploring the "Grocery Shopping" area!

The rest of the day he was back to "business as usual" with his "big boy goff pub!"

Obsession doesn't quite cover it....

....Landon's feelings about golf, that is. The boy is simply obsessed and it is getting worse thanks to his daddy. Apparently, the plastic golf clubs for 2 1/2 year olds are so 2009. On Saturday a.m., Aaron took Landon on an unsupervised trip to Academy Sports and bought him real golf clubs. Landon is SOOOO into these new clubs that he didn't even want to EAT on Saturday. WHAT? you may say? Landon...not eat?! IMPOSSIBLE! I know....but it is true. He just couldn't seem to be bothered with it. Plus, the 'ole boy golfed so much that he got a blister on his finger! Truly obsessed. I looked it up on dictionary.com and here is what it said:

ob·ses·sion

–noun
1. the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc.
2. the idea, image, desire, feeling, etc., itself.
3. the state of being obsessed.
4. the act of obsessing.
5. see Landon D and golfing.

Much to his dismay, he had to take a break on Saturday to take a nap. He slept for a while so I had to go wake him up at 4 p.m. so that he would sleep at night. He was dead asleep and I rubbed his back. He sat up and 3 seconds later started getting out of his bed and said "I need to play wif my big boy goff pubs, mommy." And so we spent our Saturday evening watching Big L golf! On Sunday a.m. at 6:58 a.m., I heard on the monitor "MOMMY! DADDY! Time to get up! Time to play goff!" Having to go to church cramped his style but we went and then he golfed the rest of the day!

I was trying to get a picture of him with his prized possession and this was the best we could come up with...not quite what I was going for but you can see how excited he is about his "goff pub."

New Football

A week ago, we got Landon a new football that he was REALLY excited about! He loved it so much that he even had to take it to bed with him for several nights!
