Safari Park

Jamie and I took the boys to an indoor safari park last week! It was a lot of fun and MUCH to Landon's delight, they had golf!

He took a break for a few (very) brief moments to play with the train....

....and to ride the choo choo train!
He even took time to snuggle with Jamie (who he ADORES! I KNOW, you English majors, it should be "whom" but who talks like that?!)

He also rode this weird Rooster animal ride. It was totally weird but he thought it was fun!

But, then it was back to golf for the remainder of his time...

Then, he found the hats which I guess you need when you are on a safari and golfing (!)

Does this kid EVER get enough golf?

Will he hate me for this?!

Or, is it a genius way to get him to cooperate as he grows older? I'm thinking that I won't ever have to ground him; rather, I think that I can get him to cooperate just be threatening to show his friends this picture:

Swim Class!

Landon is taking swim classes again! He is such a little dare devil that he really needs to start his swimming early! Here he is waiting for his turn to go swim!

Here's a picture from last week!

Believe it or not, all of the kids in his class are over 2! Although, Landon is a few months older than the other kids!

First day with the goggles!
A few videos for our family!

Can't I just freeze time?

Landon is such a big boy now as evidenced by his many strong opinions and the absence of diapers. Now, he is sleeping in his big boy bed! It's so exciting to see him grow up but I miss my little boy also! Here are a few pictures of my big boy sleeping in his big boy/toddler bed (which he is SO proud of!) :

Presenting Baby D II

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound tonight with Dr. Snead! It was an amazing experience! The baby wasn't super cooperative (apparently he/she didn't care that it was "picture day!") but we got enough good shots! Here are a few:

A few shots of the baby's face with his/her hand by his/her mouth!

Side shot of the sweet face

Shot of the foot! But, he couldn't get a good, clear picture of it : ( The baby has apparently already learned something from his/her brother on how not to cooperate and is sporting a little 'tude!)

A short video

So, now....we didn't find out if it is a girl or a boy but I have a guess now. What are your thoughts? Girl? Boy? Go ahead and vote in the poll in the upper right hand corner....

Manipulator

Lately, Landon has been telling me what he "needs." He no longer says "want" but has replaced it with "need" and "has to." This was our conversation today:

L - Let's go ouwtside, mommy.
Me - We can't, Landon, it's raining.
L - Yes, mommy...I HAVE to. I HAVE to hit da ball.
Me - Landon, look--it's raining! We'll go outside later.
L - No, mommy. I NEED to hit it so far. I HAVE to!

Or, tonight at dinner....

L - Daddy, I need a bite (he was eating a piece of Key Lime Pie--homemade, naturally)
Aaron - What?
L - A bite, daddy! I NEED a bite of dat. Yeah, dat. I need it.

I then tried to use his logic. Mommy NEEDS a massage! I HAVE TO have one. So far, nothing has happened.

More Fossil Rim Fun!

My nephew, Devon, and his fiancee, Ashley, came to visit this week! We went to Fossil Rim and had a fun day! The Ostrich was a little creepy as he kept trying to get his head into our car. Landon hasn't stopped talking about how the "Ostwrich (s)care Devon!" and loves to tell people about how the "giraffe have a long tongue."

On the way home, we passed a DQ and we couldn't resist stopping for a Blizzard. It was Landon's first Blizzard and needless to say, it was a BIG hit! He ate 1/2 of mommy's and several bites of Devon's Blizzard too! At first I was afraid he would make a big mess but he didn't spill a drop! The 'ole boy won't waste a drop! : )

Scouting out the wildlife with Devon...

The giraffe--my favorite part!

His tongue was CRAZY!!!!

Again, look at the giraffe's tongue in this video! Too funny (and a little creepy!)!

Landon's 1st time bowling!

Want to have a good time? Take a 2 1/2 year old bowling. Wait....better yet, take two 2 1/2 year olds bowling. It's a better work-out than going to the gym, believe me. You not only get to chase your child around around but you also get to hold him back when it isn't his turn(when your kid weighs 43 pounds, it is also an arm building exercise!), dodge the stray balls that get thrown the wrong way, and go running down the lane when he keep going over the line--all great cardio boosters! Anyway, our friends, Krista & Max were in town from Washington D.C. & we had a good time with them!

Landon is THRILLED to have his picture taken here. : )

Seeing what is going to happen....

It's not easy to keep a 2 1/2 year old "behind the line"

The picture is a little fuzzy but he was always so proud of himself even if he only got 1 pin!

Obviously, he had to carry the ball by HIMSELF!

Those smart architects for bowling alleys know to put the arcade right next to the kid sized balls...

I love this one because he just doesn't care about his plumber's crack...

Buddies!
