Landon was riding his bike tonight and the next door neighbor's dogs were barking like crazy. Landon looked at me and said "Doze dogs is trippin', mommy!" Yes, daddy is teaching him new words again!!!: )

So brave (of me!!!)
This is what Landon does when he wants "see" the baby:
He "pwrays" with the baby and says "...may angewls fatch (watch) me thwough the night, until I wake in the mowrning wight (light). Amen." It is so sweet! So sweet that I swallowed my pride and posted my belly on here! : )

Water Monster
The "Water Monster" game is one that Aaron created to lure Big L out of the bathtub! He often doesn't want to get out so Aaron has the monster gobble up all of the water. Landon LOVES the monster and often gives him hugs and kisses! He also likes to have "him" play games with him such as shooting baskets. He even lets the monster choose which ball he would like! It is pretty cute!

Where has my little boy gone?
We got Landon a big boy bike this week! He broke my heart a little as I watched him ride it around the store and outside our house--where has my little boy gone?! He seems so grown up!
He was SOOO excited about his bike and insisted that he ride it as we left the store! It was precious!
He was SOOO excited about his bike and insisted that he ride it as we left the store! It was precious!
The 1st time he rode it at home, I put his helmet on him but accidentally pinched the skin under his chin in the buckle. The next morning when he woke up, this is what I heard on the monitor:"Mommy! Time to get up! Time to go wide my 'pecial bike!"
So, I went up to his room and he was still talking about his bike. He said to me: "Daddy fixed my bike, mommy. (Aaron had adjusted the seat the night before) You, you pinched me, mommy. Don't pinch me. K?"
I just cracked up! Daddy was the hero "fixing" the bike while his memory of mommy's role was a bit less heroic! He continued to talk the rest of the day (yes, the WHOLE day....SIGH) about how I pinched him! Honestly, I really wanted to get a different helmet that matched the bike (yes, I am that picky) but that helmet was a 3+ and was too small for Landon's, um, brains. So, we ended up having to get him a 5+ helmet!
Here he is in action. I have to admit--I think he is pretty good!

Fun weekend!
We have been getting some quality Landon time in before the baby arrives so last weekend we rode the train in Ft. Worth and then went horse back riding! It was a great weekend! Since Landon talks ALL of the time, the train ride was a welcome 30 minute reprieve! He was really quiet and just was looking around while snuggled in between us!

A few videos.....Landon, ever the dare devil, kept asking to go faster (something I wasn't quite comfortable with!) and even wanted to do some jumps! Danielle took him to do both but kept his jumps fairly low (good for me otherwise I think I would have gone into labor!)Friday, April 16, 2010
Okay, alright....

Vacation!!!
We had a wonderful vacation in Galveston with my sister, Kris, and her family! Landon is still talking about everyone and wants to go back to the beach! It was the 1st time he has been to the beach & he loved every minute of it. One of the highlights for him was getting to go potty in the sand! : ) In fact, the next a.m. when I went to take him to the bathroom, he said "NO, mommy! I go in da sand!"
You can still see the effects of Hurricane Ike in certain areas of the town:

Landon liked the Hermit Crabs. Mommy, however, did not!

Wow! Another family pic (must be a record!)
Just chillin'....

Maggie was very sweet and often played with the kids on the beach!

The "choo choo twain" was broken for most of the day MUCH to Landon's dismay. Just as we were getting into the car to leave, they fixed it! So, he was able to go for a "wide" (which he is STILL talking about!)
A road trip these days is so much easier for kids! Landon is living large with his blankie, "yiyon" (lion), DVD player and his "bop" (we caved and let him have it for the trip!)
