We just celebrated Landon's first birthday in Texas! It was a great party! Here are a few pictures!

We only got video (no pics...so if anyone did get pics, please send them to me!) and I'm trying to edit it as it is REALLY long and would totally bore most of you so hang tight...I have to figure out how to do it and I'm exhausted right now.

This one is for Grandpa D!

Aaron used to love his toy lawnmower growing up. And by "love" I mean he took it in the yard, in the house, on trips and played with it all of the time. His dad got smart and took out the little mechanism that makes the clicking noise so they wouldn't go crazy. Well, when Landon was 2 weeks old, Grandpa D gave Landon his very own lawnmower! Personally, I think this was all for revenge. Incidentally, he didn't take out the clicking noise either. Hmph. BUT, I got out the 'ole lawnmower today and well, it has been a BIG hit.

Shark Week Wrap Up

Okay, all in all....Shark Week was a big disappointment. There were a few problems with it:
1. Reruns of shows
2. Too much scientific garbage

We watch Shark Week for the sensationalism....we want to see the Jaws'esque' stuff. We want to hear the stories of the survivors of attacks. We DO NOT want to hear the scientists go about describing how they are going to gather the data to learn more about the sharks. Sorry, but it is true.

Anyway, here is a picture of our own little shark. Pretty menacing looking, isn't he?!
