Druyvesteyn fun day at the zoo

Undercover agent Aaron can't afford to be recognized so he had to go incognito at the zoo. Good thing the birds didn't blow his cover...

Nothing says fun like a train ride

Landon's first Carousel ride

Apparently it is more fun for mommy than it is for Landon

Once again, Landon was more interested in his snacks than some 'stupid' elephants...

And, the Cow says...

Kind of cool but I can't hold the seed sticks because it creeps me out when the birds get close. I'm lucky that I was able to stand all of them flying around while I got the video...

Getting jiggy with it

Landon has really been embracing his inner white boy lately. Check out his moves at Club Druyvesteyn:

A few numbers

30 1/2- pounds that Landon weighs (95+%) (at his 15 month appointment today)

19 1/2 - inches in circumference of Landon's head (90%)

34 1/2- inches long (95+%)

3 - number of shots Landon received : (

2 1/2 - seconds that it took Landon to catch his breath to let out a HUGE cry after the shots

1 - minute that it took mommy to recover from the trauma of Landon getting his shots

3 - times that he tackled the kitty at a playgroup after his appointment

14 - number of times the aforementioned kitty tried to escape from Landon

8 - number of times Landon has put his finger in his nose today

Why do I have a feeling that something bad is about to happen?

Daddy....something bad is about to go down. GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Well, if you won't help me, I'll make a break for it on my own...

Landon's new trick

Daddy taught Landon a new trick! Okay, not really--he figured this one out on his own. He LOVES this new "trick" though. It seems as if he needs to stick his finger up his nose like he needs to breathe. Seriously.

Do all boys do this?

....or is it just my kid? I SWEAR that he climbs on EVERYTHING! His personal motto must be "if you build it...I bet I can climb it."(Okay, so it is a variation of the theme in the "Kevin Costner movie". Who can name the movie?)

I miss a lot of shots of him climbing since I don't dare let him go while I am taking pictures but when Aaron comes home at night, I've taken a few. Here he is in action:

One of Landon's FAVORITE things to climb is the oven. He climbs onto the bottom drawer handle and then pulls up on the oven handle. Obviously, this is not a good idea and no matter how many times mommy says no, he does NOT listen. Puh-lease....mommy doesn't know what is fun. So, the ONLY way that I could keep him from doing this was:

(Yeah, ignore all of the finger prints on the oven--I told you the kid could NOT keep his hands off of it).

Up, up, and away!

Well, sort of...BUT, but now he is FINALLY trying "this walking thing!" I didn't even have to coax him with Cheerios this time either! He's been so close for a while now but he usually would just fall to his knees to crawl since it was faster.

I had on every light in the vicinity for the video but it is still dark--sorry!

Clearly he's a genius : )

Landon is figuring out the whole "talking thing" lately and has a few words now that he can say! (I know, those of you with older kids are at times wondering why you ever taught them to talk! I'm sure that I will identify with you soon enough) However, for now this is very exciting for us! Here's what he can say:

Mama (and the one that he says most often. Good boy)

Dada

Uh-oh (another frequent word at our house. He gets his mileage out of this one)

Puh-puh (puppy)

Cah (car. Apparently he is growing up with a Boston accent--who knew?!)

And now for the new ones...

Bubble

Up

So, I have a few of these captured on the videos below. I am just wondering if it is too early to sign him up for Mensa?

Okay, it was difficult to blow bubbles and videotape at the same time. I know the video isn't fabulous quality. The 2nd video is dark despite the fact that we had all the lights on that we could. AHHH! Don't worry--I'm not adding "videographer" to my resume anytime soon.

MMMM...Halloween!

Seriously? You want me to go out dressed like THIS? Is this child abuse?

Fine....I'll smile for the camera but only because daddy is tickling my tummy.

Wow...so if I look this cute the lady will give me all of this? Cool! (Check out what is in her hand! Double click on the picture to get a better look.. )

I don't know what this is but I LIKE it!

Halloween ROCKS!!!!

Okay, now here is a video that isn't too exciting but I thought that the family might like to see it. : ) Check out his hair in the back...nice. I think he had some "sucker" mousse....
