So, yeah....

We had been hanging around the house a lot since Big L has been sick and he's been getting a little creative in his play. First of all, we all know that he loves to wear a bib, specifically, the towel kind so that he can "smewll" it. Then, I hadn't put pants on him since it is easier when he needs to go potty and I only have to deal with his underpants. Finally, he has been obsessed with wearing his mittens ever since we had the snow day so he wanted to wear those as well. Here is what he ended up with:

2 1/2 Years Old!

I can't believe that Landon is already 2 1/2 years old! Every time I pick him up, he says "My a big boy!" Obviously, he isn't referencing his age but what he hears every time someone tries to pick him up!

He is such a fun little boy who loves to play "chase," golf, and anything with a ball! He still loves Thomas the Train (UGH!!!), Peter Pan, and "Woody and Buzz" (Toy Story!) He can push you to your limit and then make you forget it all when he wraps his little arms around your neck and tells you "I need kiss." He is now doing very well using the "big toiwet (toilet)" but likes his "pribacy" when he is in there! He's mommy's "helper" and definitely daddy's little buddy!

Such a sweet face!

But, these are the pictures that tell what REALLY happens when photographing a 2 1/2 year old:

A visit from "gwanpa"

Landon's "gwanpa" came for another visit last weekend. Landon had a great time playing with him! On the day "gwanpa" left (he left before Landon woke up in the a.m.), Landon woke up asking about him. So, I explained that he went bye bye on the airplane. He looked at me with his big brown eyes & said "I wait for him, mommy!" So sweet!

Again, these videos work even though they have a black screen to begin with...

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

I don't know what happened with Landon but he is rockin' on the potty lately! Perhaps he realized that he was pushing mommy over the edge? Or, maybe he saw the exhausted & frustrated look on mommy's face? Whatever it is, I don't care because he's doing it! Of course, he never forgets to tell me that he gets his "tweat", 2 M & Ms, afterward! He is also very encouraging to Aaron and me...when we go potty, he cheers for us and tells us that we get a "tweat" too. Ever the gentleman, he tells me "I hode(hold) youwr tweat fowr you, mommy." Isn't that sweet?

Today, Landon went to Mrs. Kathy's. When I picked him up at the end of the day, she told me that she was changing a baby's diaper but told him to go potty on the toilet & that she would be there in a minute. When she got into the bathroom, Landon had indeed gone potty--he had climbed up onto the toilet and went potty like he was supposed to but he had not taken off his underwear!!!! Guess we'll be working on that....

Crazy Texas Weather

We got a TON of snow this week! Apparently, this area hasn't seen this much snow since 1978....lucky us!!!

Grady helped him learn how to throw snowballs! He caught on quickly!

Check out how deep the snow is!

I would like to say that he helped with the snowman but he was too busy trying to golf instead!!

Our Texas Snowman!

He was laughing REALLY hard at the snowballs. When I finally started filming, it wasn't quite as funny anymore but it is still cute...(I don't know why the screen shows black at first but if you click on it, it does work...)

The next day, the schools were closed so we went over to visit some friends! Landon, Gwen, and Graelyn played in the snow and threw snowballs at each other!

An unsuspecting Landon + a mischievous Graelyn = FUN!

Landon ramblings....

Landon is definitely getting a mind/imagination of his own lately. Here are some of the latest things that he tells me:

1). (As we are driving home) L - We go to my howse? Me - Yes, Landon. We are driving home. L - Don't...Don't take my house fwom me, mommy. Don't take it fwom me.
2.) (As we are pulling into the driveway) Dat my howse? Don't...Don't knock down my house, mommy.
3.) Don't hit my daddy, mommy. (Poor Aaron....anyone who overheard this would think that he gets beat up nightly by his pregnant wife!!!)

Hide & Seek

I love the way Landon plays "hide & seek." It just cracks me up how he answers "no" when I ask a question....see for yourself. I honestly don't think that I could love this kid any more than I do!!! He is impossibly cute....

It's a good thing he's so darn cute....especially with all of his defiance and stubbornness with potty training....
