The latest addition to our family is "Acorn Druyvesteyn(A.D., for short)." Landon has appropriately named his acorn, um, "Acorn." Not to worry--his lack of originality of a name is saved by the fact that I saw his blossoming imagination start to come out today! It was the first time I've seen it and it made me smile so I thought that I would share! : )
It all started Wednesday night when his buddy, Max, came over and showed Landon his pile of acorns that he had collected that evening. Very begrudgingly, he gave Landon one of his treasures(read: his mom MADE him give Landon an acorn). So yesterday a.m., Landon immediately began playing with "Acorn" or rather, "Aaa Cohwn." I was surprised when Acorn got into trouble and had to go to "time out." Apparently the time out wasn't going very well for Acorn because then I was told "he cwrying, mommy." Luckily, Acorn got out of time out and was ready to "twry again." The time out must have tired poor Acorn out because then I was told, "he tiwred, mommy. He go night night. Shhh." The poor thing had barely gotten up from his nap when he had to go to "time out" again. Poor Acorn had several time outs in the a.m. so I was hoping for a better afternoon for him. His afternoon was starting to perk up as he was "thewrsty" so Landon gave him some juice--he's such a good sharer. He was even lucky enough to go to the park with us. He almost got lost since he was playing on the playground but luckily, mommy saved the day on that one. Lucky for Acorn because then he was able to go on our family bike ride last night!
I'll keep you posted on the adventures of A.D.
