Fun at Home Depot

On Saturday, I took Landon to make a project at Home Depot and we met up with his buddy, Max. Here are a few pics of the boys in action making their fire station bank:

Oh yes, I might add that this was the day of the Michigan State (GO STATE!) vs. U of M
game. Clearly, Krista (Max's mom) must have gotten his clothes on sale because WHY ELSE would you wear maize and blue?

Anyway, the boys were lucky enough to explore their first Fire Truck!
Overall, it looks like a pleasant day and that fun was had by all at The Depot, right? Um, nope. Landon had a MAJOR, "I'm 2 years old & I'm going to act like a brat stinker until I get what I want " fit. We're talkin' a full on throw yourself on the floor and kick and scream fit. And not just one. On no, the 'ole boy had to take mommy through a few rounds of that fun. Part of the problem was that he wanted to go for a "wide" on the fire truck and I just couldn't make that happen. The rest of the reason for his meltdown? I have absolutely no idea. Except, he is 2. Doesn't that explain it all? I think he just was in a mood that nothing short of Disneyland would fix. So, you will have to have a mental picture of how the day went: Landon, face down on the concrete kicking and screaming. When I did pick him up, he just kicked and hit me.
